Poster Template 3

The main difference with this layout is that I have included the text for my tagline that I think I will use. Everything else is in relatively the same place that I planned it to be.

When I come to create my poster I migth change a few things around to see the difference and what works better with my actual images.

Poster Template 2

For my second template I decided that I should inlude the title name, actors' names and my tagline. The text for this layout is still basic as I hadn't made final choices on my fonts for my poster. I still want my image to be over the poster but the focal point to be directly in the middle and eye line.

I still want the title to be very focal to the audience. I want the font I use to compliment my title and also my genre.

Looking at many other movie posters I conform with the norm by having a central image, information at the bottom and the title at the top.

Poster Template 1

This is how I wanted my poster to look originally. I used simple text just to outlay where I wanted everything on my poster. I wanted my image to be over the poster but the focal point to be directly in the middle and eye line.

I want the title to also be very obvious to the audience, for this layout I have not included any names for my movie as at this stage I want to learn the layout.

Looking at many other movie posters I conform with the norm by having a central image, information at the bottom and the title at the top.

Music Magazine, Double Page Spread Layout

This is the basic layout for both of my double spread page, pages. The one on the left is the page which will contain my article. It has a conventional title and will then have a start of an article as I won't be able to fit an entire article onto my double page spread because on the other page I will be having an entire page devoted to the artist I write my article on.

On the other page I intended to have an image of the artist I will write my article on. There will also be a quote from the artist. These are both conventional themes in music magazines. When doing magazine research I discovered that NME sets out many of their double page spreads this way.

When I create both of these pages I will be making them as two seperate A4 pages because it is easier to see where the spine of the magazine would be and that way you don't have parts of the other page carrying over onto the other page.

Music Magazine, Contents Basic Layout

This is the layout for my music magazine contents page. On it I have included all the usual things you expect to see on a contents page such as images and details of articles but I have also taken ideas from other magazines such as NME.

In NME I noted that they had an advertising space for themselves, so in my contents page I have put a space for an advert, this advert will be in keeping of music.

The images and text are for the things that don't occur often in my magazien and I would want to publisise more as these as these are more important than other stories.

I have a list at the bottom of the page for the others articles that I would print, things that often occur in my magazine.

For my first contents page attempt I will expand on my layout.

First attempt at the layout for school magazine front cover

This is my first attempt at the front cover for my school magazine. I have incoraparated codes and conventions such as the Mast Head, news, information, barcode and more. I have used the main shapes I wish to use when I make my front cover, these include the shapes of the text I wish to use, the shapes of the images I wish to use and the star shape to attract attention for a school competition.

In my first layout I have thought about 3 main fonts I wish to use; Mistral, Stencil and Times New Roman. I think these could fit in with the theme of a school as we associate young children using stencils, Mistral looks like writing but in the future I may change Times New Roman as I don't feel it affilates with the theme as well as the other 2 fonts.

The colour scheme I have used for my first attempt is not what I will follow in the future, I will incorparate colours that relate to Smithdon's colour schemes. I will want to use 3 main colours, I know I will use red and blue but so far am not sure of the last colour.
